Best Quality Tuning for your Piano

Tuning in private homes comprises half of my work. The remainder are grand pianos for professional situations. I use an app to tune first, and check it out by ear afterwards expanding the octaves and adjusting for the individual scale. This is the true custom tuning loved by all. I also save this custom tuning just for your piano’s design. Please give me a call or complete a contact form, and we can arrange a time that suits you.

Most manufacturers recommend tuning at least twice a year. If your piano has gone without tuning for more than one year, it may have dropped in tension and pitch. If that is the case, please send a request for a quote, or call on the phone, and I will explain your options.

Pianos may have as many as 245 strings ranging from about 135 to 330 lbs. of tension each. That can total as much as 40,000 lbs. or more. As a result, strings will steadily drop in pitch. If your piano has not been tuned in a long time we can raise the pitch for a nominal extra fee. An extra tuning will be indicated some months hence to stabilize the big change in tension of the pitch correction. A strong piano, though neglected, however can be brought back to beauty once again.

I am available for concert and studio tuning, as well. I have years of experience in the most demanding situations, and I have received numerous compliments on the quality of my work from performing artists.
